2025 Fjord Open House

We’re hoping for a rain-free day for our 8th Annual Fjord Open House, but it will happen regardless. The Fjords will love the extra attention and I love giving people the experience of unstructured time with a herd on pasture, talking about the breed standard, functional conformation, forage quality, hay testing, pasture management, multi-species grazing, silvopasture, horse breeding, foal raising, stallion management, color genetics, livestock guardian dogs, dung beetles, and answering any other questions folks may have!
We don’t have a building to get out of the rain or sun, so bring hats, rain gear, boots, bug spray and gear appropriate for spending hours in the pasture. Our LGDs live with our livestock, so please leave pet dogs at home. Our pasture contains thistles, wild parsnip, burdock and other diverse plants, so closed-toe footwear and pants are most appropriate.
